Yoga is a form of exercise, meditation and breathing practices with Indian roots designed to bring unity to the mind and body. Adults say it makes them feel better physically, enhances their ability to concentrate, and brings tranquility to their lives. Children also experience many of the same physical benefits.

 
Preschool yoga:
  • helps children become more strong, flexible, and coordinated.
  • enhances self-awareness and boosts self-esteem
  • enhances imagination and empathy. While doing poses like snake, dog, or tree, they imagine what it would be like to be those forms and realize that the similarities far outweigh the differences.
  • teaches kids to have fun and move their bodies in a non-competitive environment. Children can work together to help each other reach this goal.
  • teaches self-discipline. As a part of the practice of yoga, kids learn to slow down by holding certain postures, breathing or practicing a simple meditation technique. Kids can learn ways to relax and get control of stress in their lives.

Yoga classes are held every Thursday starting at 9:30 am and led by Mr. Billy, a certified Kids Yoga instructor.
